So happy for you!

So who am I kidding!?!?!  I couldn't wait until tomorrow to post.  In my last post I told you how happy I am now that I have a designated craft space at home and how this is soooo much better than where I was a couple of weeks ago.  (I will not punish you by showing the picture again, I promise.)

I already broke out my little crafty nook and have been creating.  I had reasons to break out my stuff.  One of the ladies at work retired and I made her a card using one of my favorite new stamps.  You've seen it all over Pinterest paired with the new blendabilities markers (that you will be able to order starting tomorrow, July 1st)!!  These markers are awesome, but I did not want to use them for this card.

And one of my all-time favorite young ladies had a birthday last week.

Here is the Blended Bloom and Bravo stamp sets on whisper white cardstock in Strawberry Slush and gold ink...  The colors reminded me of my co-worker, Rosalie...

I kept the color combo going on the tag for her gift bag.  I added some ribbon and gold sequin trim.  You know me and my bling!

Here is the card I made for Tali, my favorite 12 year-old in the world.  She's a bright, colorful, creative kiddo and I knew exactly what I wanted to make for her.  I used the Sassy Salutations stamp set, I figured it was perfect for this card!

I used the new Stampin' Up! Hearts & Stars decorative mask along with the new in-color sequins threaded through our linen thread to give the card some "bling."  I hope she loves her card as much as I loved creating it!

That's all for today (promise), but I have more to share with you in the days ahead.  I've been playing with the hamburger die and I've been having a blast!!  If you'd like to order any of the products listed below, don't forget to add me as your demo!

Until next time!

Busy little bee.. or butterfly I should say!

Hello everyone in blogland, I have been M.I.A. for the last two weeks, but I have definitely not been kicking back drinking lemonade while laying in a hammock and listening to the birdies chirping away while I read the latest Dan Brown book (can you tell what I'd rather be doing??)...

No, I have been busy trying to get back to the promise I made to myself to make something pretty at least once a month.  But like I said in my last post, I could NOT even think of creating anything every time I looked at my pile of beautiful papercrafting supplies.  Just so you know what I'm talking about, here's a picture of what I looked at every time a design popped into my head.  (I'm so embarrassed to show this, but it must be done...)

This is in our office...

And the closet in our office...

About 3 months ago, on one of my online "treasure hunts," I found an awesome, gently used Ikea Expedit bookshelf.  I knew it would be perfect for my supplies.  I had been looking at and pinning some beautiful crafting spaces on Pinterest and it was exactly what I was hoping for (I even did a little dance when I found it)..

I initially wanted to have it fit into our tiny office, but there was no way it would've fit..  Then my husband suggested the garage (banished to the garage where my daughter's easel, paints, and markers live.  You know, the messy stuff!) and I was ok with it.  Then summer came... with the heat!!  There was no way I'd be able to even think of putting anything in the garage and actually wanting to play.  Unless I did it in the middle of the night, ummmm NO..  Then my husband suggested I wait until we got a bigger house...

You can imagine the look on my face immediately after hearing this...

I finally got so fed up of looking at my pile, and the lightbulb went off.  Why not set up in a corner of my kids' playroom????  Not the ideal location, considering I wasn't interested in having little hands wanting to play with mommy's toys, but that was the only option.  Either that or waiting to win the lotto so we could buy a bigger house.

(We don't play lotto...)

So finally, on a day off, and tired of waiting for my husband to have a day off available to build the massive thing for me, I DID IT!!  Three hours and a bucket of sweat later, with the help of my neighbor, I was able to pick it up off the floor and against the wall and start ORGANIZING!! My daughter was overjoyed when I asked her to help me organize (she got her daddy's organizing gene!) and this is what now greets me when the mood to create strikes...

I love my craft space!  And I already broke it in!  I'll be sharing some projects with you tomorrow...

Have a great day!

Holy busy mommy Batman!!

It's been almost two weeks since my last post and since then I've been feeling a bit ho-hum.... I don't know how to describe it, but I think it has a lot to do with my crafting supplies looking like the Tasmanian Devil came zipping through... Technically he kinda did, in the shape of my 21 month old son!!  That and I've been really busy with other things, like life..  I'm sure many of you can relate...

Anyway, I have been bugging my husband non-stop about helping me organize all of my wonderful goodies so that I can feel my mojo come back because NOTHING takes my creative mojo away faster than an unorganized pile of stuff.  Not so much because it's in a pile, but because for me to work I need to have my things where I can see them.  They need to be accessible and this my friends, is not.  (Creative mojo melting away)...  So my goal within the next week, no, next few days, is to get everything in its own little cubby.  Nice and neat and within reach.  That way I can create pretty little things and be able to share it with you on my blog...  I have absolutely been dying to play with my new supplies.  They were delivered last week and I have not been able to play (I know, a true travesty...).  I ordered some goodies from the new catalog including the new blendabilities markers, blendies from now on, sequins (you know me and my bling), paper, and ribbon.  I can't wait to bring to life what's been dancing around in my head (nothing scary, I promise).

And as if this wasn't bad enough, today SU! announced the debut of an awesome photopolymer stamp set that I can't wait to get my little chubby fingers on.  It's the new Calling All Heroes set (#138002) and I know my son will thank me for getting this set someday.  My husband might not, but definitely my son!

As if this wasn't enough, today is Tuesday and the Weekly Deals get posted to the SU! website.
